A. (Chapter 3 Part Two Entrepreneurs, P63)
An entrepreneur is a person who starts a completely new business or industry, someone does something no one has done before, or who does it in a completely new way. As far as I’m concerned, entrepreneurs have the following two qualities:
The first one is that entrepreneurs have vision. They have the ability to see opportunities that other people simply do not see.
The second one is that entrepreneurs are not afraid to take risks. They are not afraid to fail.
I don’t think I have the above qualities so I don’t want to be an entrepreneur. It will be very difficult and I might fail.
B. I can earn … each month. I go on a budget and know how much I can spend each month.
Usually I spend 50% percent of each month so I can make both ends meet. But it’s not always the case. Sometimes I also spend more than I earn and can’t make the ends meet. If I can’t make both ends meet, I will probably ask my friends for help and borrow money from them. （如果内容太少，可以自己再添加） 口试题签（2） Section Two
A. (Chapter 7, Part Two, Differences Between British and American English)
I notice there are differences between British English and American English in the following aspects.
First, there are differences in vocabulary. For example, Americans say “truck” but the British say “lorry”. Americans say “elevator” while British use “lift”. If an American says “I’m going to wash up”, he would go to the bathroom and wash his hands and face. But in England, to wash up means to wash the dishes.
Second, there are differences in the use of verbs and prepositions. The past participle of the verb “get” is American English is “gotten” while it is “got” in British English. Americans say “Do you have any ideas” but British say “Have you any ideas?” It’s correct in US to say “John is different from Mary”. But British will say “John is different than Mary”.
B. I have many friends who are from different walks of life. We often meet each other on
weekends to hang out and have fun. Some of my friends are my classmates and we have known each other for almost more than 6 years. Some of my friends are the people that I met while I was travelling in other cities. We seldom meet each other, but we keep in touch with each other through social networks such as QQ and Wechat. Some of my friends are my business partners that I often meet for business reasons.
We have a lot in common. Some of my friends and I share some personalities. We are all optimistic, outgoing and kind. Some of my friends and I have the same hobbies. We often play basketball/go shopping/play computer games/watch football matches together on weekends. I also go travelling with some friends to relax ourselves on some holidays.

A. (Chapter 9, Part 2 Exploring Mars P191) In my opinion, it’s important to explore Mars.
Firstly, Mars is the second closest planet to earth and it’s similar to Earth. It has clouds, winds, 24-hour day, etc.
Secondly, exploring Mars can benefit us. If we know more about Mars, we can find out whether it is a good place for human beings to live.
Thirdly, because Mars is similar to Earth, exploring Mars can help us find out things about Earth. Finally, If there is not enough space and resources on Earth or if there is a disaster such as nuclear war, people can live on Mars. B.
I like pets because some of them are very lovely and some can even help me to do housework. I have a pet and it’s a toy poodle, a kind of dog with curve fur. She is very lovely. I bought it from the market one year before. Actually, at first I didn’t know how to take care of her and don’t know what I should but for her to eat. But after hearing advice from others and getting some information from the internet, I become more and more familiar with her habits and know how to take good care of her. At first, I bought it just because it’s very lovely. But after almost one year, I find that she is really a good friend, she will stay with me no matter what happens. She will comfort me when I’m sad. I won’t feel lonely with her. (I don’t have a pet. It’s not because that I don’t like pets. On the contrast, I really love them because some of them are very lovely and helpful. But I am very busy. I have to go on business trip almost every month. I don’t have enough time to take care of them. If I have enough time, I will definitely keep one.)

I have got a job and I like it very much.
First of all, I can broaden my view from work. I can learn a lot and know things that I have never heard of before.
The second reason that I like my job is that I don’t need to work overtime. In addition, my work time is rather flexible. I don’t need to come to the office at 9am and get off work at 5pm. I can leave early if I finish my work of that day.
Besides, I can sometimes telecommute, which saves me a lot of time on commuting and saves the transportation cost.
Also, I like my job because it gives me a lot of opportunities to travel in different parts of the country or even different countries in the world. I can communicate with different people, which enhances my communication skills. B
In the past, the best jobs were jobs such as civil servant, teachers, doctors, etc. they were the best because people who did these jobs were highly respected. In addition, jobs in the manufacturing areas were also among the best jobs. However, there are some changes now. the number of manufacturing jobs decreases. Nowadays, people tend to work in service industry, such as health care, computers and personal care services.
Reasons for these changes are as following:
The first reason is that because of technology we are able to manufacture goods by machines instead of human workers.
The second reason is that people are living longer so we may need more medical services.
The third reason is that computers are used in any area; we need people who can operate computers.
The last reason is that most women now work outside the room, so a lot of works women used to do at home like cooking and taking care of small children is now done by service workers.

The utensils people in most Asia countries usually use are chopsticks. In our place, it’s more polite for people to eat everything on her/his plate at the end of the meal because in our culture it means you are satisfied with the food. 2) The greeting customs
Generally speaking, when people in my place say hello, they usually smile at each other while nodding their heads. People who meet each other for business goals may shake hands to show their friendliness. But if they are good friends, they may greet each other with a very warm hug or even a kiss.

1’ Describe the university system in our country based on the following topics: A. Types of university courses B. Who teaches university courses C. Class sizes
D. Course requirements for different majors E. Types of exams
F. Punishment for plagiarism
China has set up a degree system, include Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral degrees.
For the undergraduates, there are three types of university courses. The most common type of undergraduate course is called a compulsory course. In a compulsory course, the professor or lecturer talks and the students sit and take notes. The majority of compulsory courses can have 40 to 50 students in them. Some compulsory courses are often held in very large rooms because undergraduate courses like An Introduction to Mao Zedong Thought can have more than one hundred students in them, especially in large universities. A language course may have a small number of students.
Another type of undergraduate course is called an optional course. Students select courses they are interested in. Such optional courses are taught by professors or lectures.
The third kind of class is especially important for science majors, and that’s the lab class. Chemical and physical majors have to spend several hours a week in the lab, doing their experiments.
Nearly every class students will have one or more tests or exams. Most university courses have at least two big exams: the midterm and the final exam. In order to graduate, students are required to write a paper or thesis in the last year at university. If they plagiarize and get caught, the punishment can be very serious. They can’t get their diploma’s degree. 1’’ Describe your university life based on the following questions: A. How many students are there in your class? B. How many sessions have you got each week? C. When do you usually go to classes each week? D. Which is your favorite subject? E. Who is your favorite teacher, why?
F. When you have problems with study, who do you usually go to for help?
There are about 20 students in my class.
I have to attend courses of different subjects each week, so I have 7 sessions each week. Because I have to work at day time, so I have to go to classes after work and weekends. I have many different subjects, such as reading, listening and speaking, etc. Among these subjects, I like speaking the best because I have chances to practice my speaking. Some of the topics we talk about are related to my life and jobs and they are very helpful for me.
I like all the teachers because they are all very responsible, they prepare their lectures very carefully so that we can learn a lot from their classes.
Generally speaking, almost all the teachers go home after their lectures and we won’t meet them until next week. But if I have problems with study, I can still e-mail or call my teachers for help. I can also ask my classmates for help. In addition, we also have BBS in which I can discuss study problems with teachers and classmates online. 2. 2’ Where do you live, in a big city, or a small town, or a village? What’s your neighborhood like? Is it safe and quiet? Do you like it? Why or why not?
I live in a big city. It’s very modern and beautiful and I love it. My neighborhood is very clean and noisy. There are large shopping malls, restaurants and entertainment places close to my neighborhood. So it’s very convenient.

Secondly, I often remember to lock the door and windows before I leave my house. I won’t use cheap locks because they’re not safe. Every door in my place has a deadbolt. Thirdly, I will keep my valuable in a safe place when I am away.
I will also ask someone to watch my house for me if I go on vacation.
In order to prevent car theft, I will lock my car and put valuables in the trunk, and won’t leave them out on the seat. 5-7
